Federal Reserve Hikes Interest Rates Another 50 Basis Points

This Wednesday, the Federal Reserve tighten their federal funds rate by an additional 50 basis points. This is the first 50 basis point hike since 2000. That all being said, the federal funds rate is still at a very accommodative rate of 0.75% or 75 basis points. The FED plans to hike rates to 2-2.5% by the end of this year.
