Federal Reserve Hikes The Fed Funds Rate 75 Basis Points & Home Builders Start To Capitulate. This Week We Have A Lot To Cover.

First, In an attempt to reign in inflation & restore credibility, the Federal Reserve decided to raise the base rate by 75 basis points, rather than the 50 basis point hike that was originally expected prior to the Consumer Price Index Report (CPI). 
Second, Home builders seem to be slowing their roll. The amount of new homes being constructed dropped 14.4%, this was miles off from the estimated figure. Housing permits also dropped to the tune of 7% from last month. 

Housing still remains in a sellers market, but conditions are getting better for buyers, as interest rates & market conditions begin to shift the market back towards normalcy.
